Myscript Notes 2.2

This is the 2nd step of installing PersA to a PC. This video refers to MyScript Notes 2.2 owners.

With MyScript Memo, take your notes on the go using your handwriting and convert them to digital text that you can export and share with Evernote®, Facebook®, Twitter®, Gmail or copy/paste to any other text application. MyScript Memo is available in 63 recognition languages (including Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Russian, English, Spanish, French and many more).

Attention to users updating the app: If you previously purchased the recognition feature, you will retain the capability of performing OFF-LINE handwriting recognition. What happens is that you will be once again presented with the option to buy the locked feature, but once you select that option, the App Store will inform you that you have already purchased the application and will then unlock this feature for free. This is unfortunately the way how Apple In-App purchases work! Or, somebody gives you their phone number or recommends a book to you, and you need to write it quickly and get on with your business. In cases like that, you need a quick go-to app, and you can decide later where to file the information. For situations like that sort, this app is a good answer.

There are just enough functions here to make the app robust, and set up is minimal. You can jot down a short note quickly and later decide what to do with it: convert it to text and export or paste it elsewhere, export it as a PDF, or save it as an image. So, you have a great entry system, and then you can decide later where you want to put your information.

After many years, I still use this app for basic data entry into my app. It is one of my original “idea dumping places.” It is especially useful on the iPhone, which goes with me everywhere. Shmerls Unless I just can't find the preference, there doesn't seem to be a way to use their app in landscape mode. It comes and seems locked in portrait orientation. This means you can't use it if using a landscape iPad cover like in bed when on your back. Especially if charging because you'll be balancing your iPad on the charging cable which will damage the cable eventually or worse the charging port which forced me to replace my iPad last week because the port got damaged and stopped recognizing all charging cables, Apple OEM and after market.

At first I could jiggle cables, then only Apple cables worked and then even they stopped. All because of balancing the iPad on the cable while working.

Solution: don't charge and work in portrait mode which rules out this app it seems. Unless I just can't find the preference, there doesn't seem to be a way to use their app in landscape mode.
